ORCHARD PARK, NY — The quarterback of the Buffalo Bills, Josh Allen, He is not on the injured list for the final game of the regular season at Highmark Stadium, but we will have to keep an eye on how much time he will play.
Josh Allen He did not participate in Wednesday’s light training or Thursday’s practice before the game against the New York Jets on Sunday afternoon, but was allowed to participate on a limited basis on Friday.
The coach Sean McDermott reported that Allen “should be ready for the game.”
El safety Jordan Poyer (hamstring), linebacker Terrel Bernard (calf) and defensive tackle DaQuan Jones are ruled out for the game, while defensive end Joey Bosa (hamstring), tight end Dalton Kincaid (knee) and defensive tackle Jordan Phillips (ankle) are doubt.
Los Bills They only have two quarterbacks on the roster: Allen and his backup Mitchell Trubisky. With Buffalo’s only option being one of the three wild card spots, Allen is expected to start to keep alive his second-longest consecutive starting streak (121), but he will likely rest to prepare for the postseason, as he did in Week 18 of last season.
Allen is only behind Philip Rivers in the longest streak of consecutive starts (243). Other starters and veterans could also see less playing time.
“I just want to finish today and see how everything goes,” McDermott said before Friday’s practice. “We have some players with some discomfort after last week’s game and of course we know what to expect in a week. So, again, we want to play well, that’s important to us. We prioritize being smart at all times, so that balance is what we try to achieve.”
McDermott has also spoken throughout the week about how important it is to say goodbye to the stadium in the best possible way before the team moves to the new Highmark Stadium next season.
“We haven’t talked about exactly what’s going to happen, but I’ve gotten plenty of reps throughout the week,” Trubisky said. “I’m comfortable being out there with the guys and running plays any way I can. So I’m excited to get that opportunity and we’ll see what happens.”
