Jörgen Jönsson in Örebro | Content Writer

13 days have passed without a sound from Jörgen Jönsson since he was fired from Färjestad. But on Thursday he suddenly appeared in Örebro, in the Behrn arena.

“Look, there’s Jörgen Jönsson”

The words came from TV4’s Björn Oldéen on Thursday, and the pictures, they were just as surprising to the viewers. The FBK profile, who lost his job in Karlstad on January 9, has neither wanted to be seen nor heard since then, but suddenly sat in the stands in Örebro – in the Behrn arena.

Nicklas Lidström was also seen in the stands during the SHL round, and the two conversed on occasions.

However, Jönsson was not treated to a goal celebration in Örebro. His former club Växjö was visiting and the final score was 0–1 after Dylan Mclaughlin scored in extra time.

Jörgen Jönsson began his coaching career in Färjestad, but, as you know, has also worked for both Örebro and Växjö. He was the first-mentioned for less than three years, as an assistant coach. It remains to be seen if a return to the club is relevant, where Niklas Eriksson currently has his team on 45 points, three more than HV71 in the qualifying spot.
