JORDAN brand invites all basketball players to wear Heir Series 2 and leave defensive players behind on the court. The new basketball shoe is built specifically for the speed, intensity and artistry of the women’s basketball game.
The second-generation Heir Series launched by the JORDAN brand is based on the actual combat insights of fearless players at all levels of competition. It is specially designed for quick cuts and changes of direction, helping players to further accelerate the offensive rhythm. There is no limit to the peak, JORDAN brand will be committed to inspiring the new generation to write greatness.
“For me, footwork is a key part of my game,” said JORDAN Brand athlete and five-time WNBA All-Star Nafessa Collier. “The Heir Series 2 is a high-performance basketball shoe that combines flexibility and stability, allowing me to be strong on both ends of the floor. Anyone who follows my game knows that I have always been a fan of the Heir Series, and the innovative design of the Heir Series 2 exceeded my expectations.”
The practical basketball shoes Heir Series 2 are specially created for Nafisa and every female basketball player on the court, further demonstrating the JORDAN brand’s commitment to women’s basketball: committed to promoting the development of women’s basketball and inspiring a new generation of players to write greatness.
The smooth and neat silhouette continues the design highlights of the previous generation and is specially designed for key movements in women’s basketball such as running and cutting. At the same time, many key improved designs are added to help improve quick and agile steps. These improved designs are derived from the first-hand practical insights of basketball players, ensuring that the new shoes are equipped with NIKE, Inc.’s cutting-edge innovative technology to further meet the needs of female athletes.
The new version of the forefoot Air Zoom cushioning configuration creates outstanding rebound response performance to meet the fast-paced style of women’s basketball games, helping players cope with the increasing competition for ball possession and running in the game, as well as smart and changeable play styles. The thickened Cushlon 3.0 midsole is covered with an additional layer of sole cushioning foam to provide athletes with an upgraded comfortable foot feel, allowing them to easily shake off defenses.
The combination of Air Zoom cushioning and additional cushioning improves support while balancing flexibility and speed. In addition, the translucent TPU cage provides lightweight coverage, and the rubber herringbone outsole helps increase speed and control.
The shoe is built specifically for the unique needs of women’s basketball. Women’s basketball games are often longer and the competition for possession of the ball is more intense, so a basketball shoe that can keep up with the pace of the game is needed.
Details designed for women’s basketball also include a detachable scrunchie at the heel, as well as a range of bold colorways that reflect the pioneering role female athletes play in shaping the future of basketball culture.
Zhang Chuanxi, senior creative director of basketball and sports of the JORDAN brand, said: “Women’s basketball occupies an important position in the sports landscape, and the JORDAN brand has always been committed to helping the new generation of players pursue greatness. We named this series ‘Heir’ and hope that these outstanding new generation athletes can create their own basketball dynasty. Heir Series 2 is a new generation of basketball shoes designed for female players and by female players. The new version of the forefoot Air Zoom The cushioning configuration is tailored for the delicate style of women’s basketball, helping to improve support and rebound response.”
The original Heir Series was launched in 2024, continuing the JORDAN brand’s long-term commitment to focusing on women’s basketball innovation. This legacy began with the launch of the women’s Air Jordan OG in 1998, the JORDAN brand’s first sneaker designed specifically for women. Since then, we’ve launched a number of women’s sneakers, including models exclusive to Maya Moore, retail Air Jordans optimized for female athletes, and player versions in partnership with JORDAN Brand athletes like Kiki Rice and Kia Nurs. JORDAN brand basketball shoes are also available in plus sizes to meet the needs of players at all levels.
The Jordan Brand Heir Series 2 is set to release on February 20th via jordan.com and designated retail stores for global sale.
