Nassef Chourak can leave Ajax this winter. The 21-year-old midfielder can continue his career in Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Spain and Sweden, it is reported Ajax Showtime Monday.

Chourak is currently captain of Jong Ajax, but it does not appear that his future lies in the Johan Cruijff ArenA.

The talent from Woerden is eager to take a step higher after 65 matches in the Kitchen Champion Division. Football zone knows that Malmö FF, among others, are interested in his signature.

Chourak can draw in four different countries. If interested clubs want to sign him this winter, Ajax can ask for a transfer fee.

The former youth international can also choose to leave Ajax on a transfer-free basis. In that case, the Amsterdam residents will only receive a training allowance of a few hundred euros. Chourak has been playing in the Ajax Academy since 2018.

Chourak was one of the stable factors at Jong Ajax in the first half of the season. Because the captain did not play a Youth League and had no obligations with the first team, the promising team could almost always call on him.

Ajax recently announced that Mohamed Abdalla (16) will join the selection of coach Willem Weijs in the second half of the season. Jong Ajax may have already chosen Chourak’s successor.
