Jezierski Transfer: Easy Decision Confirmed

Polish midfielder Jakub Jezierski is already a Sigmak. He agreed on a multi-year contract with the club and does not hide his high ambitions. “I believe that Sigma will be a good move for me. I set big goals for myself and I want to play for trophies and European cups,” he said immediately after arriving at Andra’s stadium.

Welcome to Sigma, Jakub. How long did the courtship last?
It was fairly quick. They contacted me a few days ago, I spoke with the coach and the sports director. And right after that I knew I wanted to be a part of Sigma and the project they presented to me. I know that Sigma is a club that has a rich history, it wasn’t a difficult decision at all.“

So far you have only played for Slask, wasn’t it difficult for you to leave your parent club in this regard as well?
Of course, it was not easy in this respect. But that’s football and it’s normal for every player to want to improve in their career. To do this, you need to step out of your own comfort zone. This is true for a footballer, as it is for all people. I believe that this will be a good step for me.“

What were the main reasons that convinced you?
The main thing for me was really the interview with the coach. It was a very honest conversation and I think honesty is one of the most important things. Of course, the ambition under the new owner and the effort to improve the club in all directions impressed me. I set big goals for myself and I want to play for trophies and European cups.“

Can you introduce yourself to our fans as a player?
I mainly play central midfielder. I’m twenty-one, so I’m still a young player. I have spent my career so far in Silesia Wroclaw. I am ambitious and would like to help Sigma win some trophies. I believe I am a winning type. I want to be the best I can be and help the team as much as I can.“

Do you know anything about Olomouc as a city?
I’ve already seen a little. And the city is really beautiful. It made a big impression on me. The same applies to the club. All the people here are very nice. I have nothing to complain about at all.“
