Finn Jesse Ylönen was recruited to Djurgården this season but has had difficulty getting a place in the squad.

During Friday, the Stockholm club also announced that the parties have chosen to go their separate ways, despite a two-year contract.

But the 26-year-old forward has already finished with a new club in the SHL.

Expressen was able to reveal on Saturday that Ylönen will now continue the season in Örebro, which also brought in Kalle Miketinac earlier this week.

“There is great potential”

Later in the morning, the signing was announced.

– We have had a dialogue with Jesse for some time and it feels great to be able to welcome him to Örebro. In Jesse we get an offensively skilled player who will spearhead our team. There is great potential in his game and we hope that he will come to his full potential here with us, says Henrik Löwdahl, sports director in Örebro.

The forward joins the team immediately.

Ylönen accounted for seven points in 24 games in Djurgården and thus joins Örebro, which is currently in twelfth place in the SHL table, just above the qualifying mark.

Ylönen has four seasons in North America behind him, with games in the NHL and Montreal Canadians, among others.
