The 19-year-old Spaniard initially went through the academies of Celta Vigo and Atletico Madrid before moving to FC Bayern’s U17s in January 2023. After half a year in the Munich B youth team, he was part of the U19 team for another season and has been part of the Munich team’s second representation since the summer of 2024. In addition to appearances in the regional league, Fernandez was also able to train with Vincent Kompany’s professional team, was in the matchday squad for the Bundesliga game in Heidenheim and was used in the dress rehearsal for the second half of the season in Salzburg.
