Last Saturday, the TOP Absolute and Sub-11 TTR organized by the Andalusian Badminton Federation and the CDB Humilladero took place in the Malaga municipality of Humilladero; and sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Government of Andalusia and the Hon. Humilladero City Council.
Absolute
In the IM Iván Cumbreras (IES La Orden) managed to become champion in the IM after beating Pablo Lloreda (Rute) in the 16th round (21-4/21-12); Antonio Benítez (Alhaurín de la Torre) in the round of 16 (21-11/21-12); David Moreno (IES La Orden) in the quarterfinals (21-10/21-9); Hugo Martínez (Granada) in the semis and Javier López (Benalmádena) in the final (21-19/21-12). The remaining bronze went to Ignacio Cabezas (Jorge Guillén), who after reaching the semis was defeated by López (21-18/21-18).
In the IF Ana Agua (Benalmádena) achieved first place in the category after defeating the local player Lucía Noguera (Humilladero) in the final (21-14/21-14).
In the DM Iván Cumbreras and Juan Carlos Cumbreras (IES La Orden) rose to the top of the podium after beating Lorcan Hormigo and Héctor Mallach (Pitius) in the quarterfinals (21-16/21-8); and his teammates David Moreno/Bernabé Padilla in the semifinals (21-10/21-15) and Adrián Acosta and Adrián Márquez in the final (21-17/12-21/21-17). Leon Endzt and Jorge Moriel from Benalmádena won the bronze by falling in three tight sets in the semifinals against Acosta and Márquez (21-18/13-21/21-19).
In DF Candela Antequera and Ana López (Benalmádena) won the gold, defeating their teammates Ana Agua and Alba Moriel (17-21/24-22/21-13) and the duo formed by Alejandra Argüelles and Paula Moreno (Alhaurín de la Torre/Jorge Guillén) in two sets (21-15/21-16). Agua and Moriel in turn certified the silver, beating the subsequent bronze medalists of the event, Argüelles and Moreno, in three sets (21-10/11-21/21-17).
And in the DX Javier López and Candela Antequera (Benalmádena) were proclaimed champions of the event, beating their teammates Jorge Moriel and Ana López in the semifinals (21-18/21-11) and Adrián Márquez and Alejandra Argüelles (IES La Orden/Alhaurín de la Torre) in the final (21-16/21-15). Márquez and Argüelles previously obtained a place in the final, beating Leon Endtz and Alba Moriel from Benalmádena in the semis (21-8/21-18).
Sub-11
In the IM Aimar Macías (Rinconada) obtained first place, beating Víctor Lloreda (Rute) from Ruth in the semifinals (9-15/15-11/15-11) and Iván Martín (Córdoba) in the final (15-10/15-13). Sergio Martos (Córdoba) obtained the remaining bronze by reaching the semis, where he was defeated by his teammate Martín (15-10/15-9).
In the IF María Sánchez (Montilla) won the gold by defeating Milorada Kopyttsa (Jorge Guillén) in the final (15-13/15-13).
In the DM Aimar Macías and Eric Rey (Rinconada) were proclaimed champions of the modality played in a league format, beating Víctor Lloreda and Jorge Mérida in three games (8-15/15-9/15-12). Lloreda and Mérida (Rute/Baena) achieved second place by beating Iván Martín and Sergio Martos from Córdoba (15-5/15-4), who achieved third place by beating Eloy Arrabal and Daniel Cordoba from Montilla in three even sets (13-15/15-13/15-10).
In DF Milorada Kopyttsa and María Sánchez (Jorge Guillén/Montilla) won the gold, defeating both Sandra Esteban/Inés Román (15-8/15-10) and Carmen Castilla/Carmen Duarte (15-5/15-7). Estebán and Román (Humilladero/Baena) won silver, beating Castilla and Duarte (Baena), later bronze (15-12/15-10).
And in the DX Jorge Mérida and Sandra Esteban (Baena/Humilladero) climbed to the top of the podium, defeating Germán Valentín and Marta Bravo (Córdoba) in the final (15-6/15-12).
