Starting tomorrow, Ryan Kamp, Lauren Molengraaf and Hélène Clauzel will ride for the same team: Team EKOÏ. Philip and Christoph Roodhooft will set up the team until the end of this cyclo-cross season. “We want to give the three riders a chance to continue fighting for their place at the highest level.”

No more black uniform for Hélène Clauzel and Ryan Kamp’s uncertainty is also gone for a while.

From tomorrow they will be part of a new team in the cyclo-cross world, together with Lauren Molengraaf. Team EKOÏ offers them shelter until the end of this season. Afterwards, it will be evaluated whether there is future potential.

“Despite their proven talent and ambition, the future was uncertain for our three riders,” said a press release. “Team EKOÏ was created to offer them a professional framework in which they have the opportunity to continue to defend their chances at the highest level in cyclo-cross.”

The team was set up by the Roodhooft brothers, who are also at the head of the Alpecin-Deceuninck and Crelan-Corendon teams.

“Despite our growth, cyclo-cross is where we come from,” says Philip Roodhooft. “It is the discipline that has shaped our identity. Christoph and I see it as our mission to keep the sport attractive and competitive.”

“With Team EKOÏ we want to give three riders a chance to fight for their place at the highest level. They deserve a professional environment, strong guidance and the right equipment. Thanks to the support of EKOÏ and Colnago, we can offer them that until the end of the season. Then we sit together and see what the future can bring.”
