The Wittelsheim club is organizing the Haut-Rhin championships this weekend in senior singles and veteran doubles under the aegis of Codep 68 at the Albouy hall, which will welcome the first competitors on Saturday from 7:30 a.m. The organizing club will have more than 45 players competing to try to get a podium.
Hostilities will begin on Saturday morning with the senior men’s and women’s singles as well as the mixed veterans (from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.).
In the R4/R5 series, Loïc Schmitt (Red Star Mulhouse), Jérémy Rigault (Wittelsheim) and Thomas Strich (V3 Frontières) will have to battle to climb to the top of the podium.
Among the girls, Lina Schwob (V3 Frontières) will put her title back on the line. Natacha Wilm (BC Mulhouse) and Eléa Leimann (Cobra Colmar) are also among the favorites.
The matches promise to be just as competitive in the R6/D7 series. Pierre Etienne Cibla (Wittelsheim), title holder in D8/D9, will have a hard time facing Lucas Jaeger (Guebwiller), title holder in R6/D7.
Many new players are registered in the other tables P10/NC – D8/D9 – R5/D7 and everything is possible.
