Arsenal remains relentless in the Champions League and triumphed against Inter Milan (3-1), in a duel on the seventh and penultimate round of the Champions League phase. On Tuesday night, in a match refereed by João Pinheiro, Gyökeres came off the bench in the 75th minute.
The scoring was opened by Gabriel Jesus in the tenth minute. In Inter’s response, midfielder Sucic restored equality in the 18th minute. With a stop and response, Gabriel Jesus scored twice in the 31st minute.
In the complementary stage, between exchanges and yellow cards, Viktor Gyökeres ended the fight in the 84th minute, scoring after a pass from Saka and at the culmination of a lethal offensive transition, when Inter was parked in front. The Swedish goalscorer shot from outside the area and scored his ninth goal of the season for Arsenal, his third in the Champions League.
After seven wins in seven rounds, Arsenal has 21 points and is the clear leader in the league stage. In the last round, on January 28th (8pm), there is a reception to the Kairat Almaty of Jorginho and Luís Mata (36th and last).
As for Inter, they fell to 9th place, with 12 points and three consecutive defeats in the Champions League. On the night of January 28th there is a visit to Dortmund (12th).
