Guarani x Santos duel on Sunday night (18), at 8:30 pm (Brasília time), for the third round of Paulistão 2026. The stage for the confrontation will be Brinco de Ouro da Princesa, in Campinas (SP).

Without Neymar, still recovering from knee surgery, Santos takes to the field tonight without their main reinforcement for the 2026 season. Gabigol should be spared for the midweek clash against Corinthians.

The teams were divided into four pots, face each other within their own pot and will have five more rounds against opponents from the other pots, totaling eight games in the first phase.

Pot A, formed by Corinthians, Palmeiras, São Paulo and Santos, faces two teams from B (São Bernardo, Novorizontino, Bragantino and Mirassol), two teams from C (Guarani, Ponte Preta, Velo Clube and Portuguesa), a team from D, a pot formed by the two teams promoted from Series A2 (Primavera and Capivariano) and the two worst campaigns from last year that were in the first division (Noroeste and Botafogo-SP).

The eight best teams advance to the knockout stages, which will feature single-game qualifiers, as well as the semi-finals, with the team with the best record in the combined stages having the advantage of playing at home. The worst two fall to Series A2.

In the quarter-finals and semi-finals, games that end in a draw will be decided on penalties. In the final, which will be played over two games, the first tiebreaker criterion is goal difference. If there is equality, the title will be decided on penalties.
