Gorakhpur: Commissioner Inspects Bridges, Stadium – Key Directives Issued

Jagran correspondent, Gorakhpur. Commissioner Anil Dhingra along with DM Deepak Meena on Thursday inspected Khajanchi Bridge and Nakaha Bridge and the international cricket stadium under construction in Tal Nadaur. During this, he gave instructions to increase the pace of work in all the projects.

During the inspection, the Commissioner directed the officials of the Bridge Corporation that the cleaning and painting work of both the bridges should be completed within three days, so that the bridges can be completely repaired and ready in an attractive form before the inauguration.

After this the Commissioner inspected the international cricket stadium being built in Tal Nadaur. The executing agency said that out of the total 108 acres available land, in the first phase, an international cricket stadium with a capacity of 30 thousand spectators will be developed in 46 acres, for which approval has been received.

It is proposed to develop sports facilities like badminton, tennis, swimming pool, archery and shooting in the second phase on the remaining 62 acres of land. Officials also informed that works like soil filling, plantation and pile testing are in progress. On this, the Commissioner directed that the soil filling should be done as per the level of Gorakhpur-Varanasi Highway. Officials from concerned departments were also present during the inspection.
