Mardi 27 janvier 2026, les hommages se sont multipliés sur les réseaux sociaux falaisiens (Calvados) après l’annonce du décès de Gisèle Maurin, à l’âge de 59 ans. Membre de l’ESF badminton pendant plusieurs décennies, elle est décédée des suites d’un combat long de six ans contre le cancer, a annoncé son club. Championne de France de la discipline à plusieurs reprises, elle a participé à des championnats du d’Europe et du monde en catégorie seniors.
