Genoa presented Justin Bijlow with a special video. The Italians replaced the name on a Justin Bieber CD with the name of the 27-year-old goalkeeper and announced him with the song Baby. “They can sometimes tackle those content creators at that Genoa,” someone responds. “What a bad video.”
According to Fabrizio Romano, Bijlow will initially transfer to Genoa without a transfer fee, which will pay Feyenoord €200,000 if the club stays in the Serie A next season. The goalkeeper signs a contract until the end of this season, with the option of three more years.
Bijlow acted as Timon Wellenreuther’s stand-in at Feyenoord in the first half of the season. The club’s child was designated as the first choice under the bar in the preparation, but was injured and saw that his colleague was then preferred by Robin van Persie.
With the goalie’s departure, a twenty-year (!) period at Feyenoord comes to an end. Bijlow joined the club in 2006, went through the entire youth academy and made his debut in the main squad in 2017. Ultimately, the eight-time international’s tally ends at 152 games in the Feyenoord shirt.
