French Handball: Paris Arena Weekend Success

On the esplanade of the Paris Défense Arena in Nanterre, there are fewer queues than to enter a Gims concert. There are also fewer people inside. However, 10,592 on Friday then 13,774 on Sunday to attend handball matches with no real stake other than to prepare for an upcoming Euro, it makes noise.

The French tournament is the first event since the announcement of the sale of the hall to the American giant Live Nation and the first handball matches in the largest hall in Europe since its inauguration in 2017 have fulfilled their mission. “It’s an honor and a privilege to be the first handball players to play here. It’s impressive,” says French team captain Ludovic Fabregas.
