France Handball: Euro 2026 Squad Revealed

Eighteen players are part of the French team group which will begin the Euro handball tournament (January 15 – February 1) on Thursday in Oslo, Norway, including Nedim Remili, slightly injured but fit.

While 20 players were present last weekend to take part in the French Tournament, won by the Blues after two victories against Austria and Iceland, coach Guillaume Gille chose to reduce his squad and leave left-back Aymeric Zaepfel and pivot Arthur Lenne “at the disposal of their clubs”.

“They can still be mobilized according to needs, they have done great preparation, but in a competitive context, being 20 seemed to me to represent too large a squad,” explained Guillaume Gille at a press conference.

Absent from the match sheet for the Tournament after being hit in the thigh in training, center half Nedim Remili is present, alongside Nantes player Aymeric Minne.

“It continues to progress positively,” assured Gille, “we remain optimistic but in this type of post-injury return, there is always its share of uncertainties. Nedim must come back and be able to last in the group.”
