Fluminense 2026 Pre-Season: Training Begins at CT Carlos Castilho

The year 2026 has already begun for Fluminense. The first group of professional football athletes presented themselves this Friday afternoon (02/01), at CT Carlos Castilho, to begin work towards the team’s debut in the Carioca Championship.

The group is mostly made up of Moleques de Xerém, who join names like Igor Rabello, Lezcano, Marcelo Pitaluga, Riquelme Felipe, Santi Moreno and Vitor Eudes. The squad also includes striker Lelê, who returns from loan, and defender Jemmes, the first reinforcement announced by the club for 2026. The group will be led by coach Luis Zubeldía in the pre-season.

On this first day of activities, the players carried out physiology tests and exercises in the gym. The group returns to training this Saturday (03/01), at 9:30 am, at CT Carlos Castilho.

The second group, which will include athletes who ended last season and are still on vacation, will perform on the 8th (Thursday of next week).

Fluminense will debut in the Campeonato Carioca on January 14th (Wednesday), when they face Madureira, at 7pm. The location is not yet defined.
