Flamengo Signs European Player: Official Announcement

Flamengo announced, this Thursday (15), the signing of second booster for the 2026 season. The operation costs around 1.5 million euros (R$9.4 million) and the contract will be valid for four seasons.

At 1.89m tall, goalkeeper Andrew, who was with Gil Vicente, in Portugal, is Flamengo’s new reinforcement for this season. The archer joins Vitão on the list of Rubro-Negro contractors.

Before agreeing with Urubu, the goalkeeper even negotiated with Botafogo. Andrew’s arrival at the club will serve to replace the departure of Matheus Cunha, a reserve goalkeeper who went to Cruzeiro.

He joins Agustín Rossi, Dyogo Alves and Léo Nannetti on Flamengo’s list of goalkeepers.

Andrew was revealed by Botafogo, but did not play for the main team, limiting himself to being a backup to goalkeeper Jefferson at the time.
