Feyenoord Transfer News: Player Arrives from Spain

Feyenoord will put Plamen Andreev on loan at Lech Poznan, the usually very reliable Polish journalist Szymon Janczyk reported on Saturday. The goalkeeper still has a rental contract with Racing Santander until January 8 and will then fly directly to Poland.

Andreev comes over on loan from Feyenoord, with an option to buy. The transfer is complete and Lech is no longer looking at other options for under the bar.

There is a clear reason why official confirmation is taking some time. Andreev is currently on loan to Racing Santander, where his contract runs until January 8.

As soon as that rental period expires and he formally returns to Feyenoord, the transfer to Poznan can be completed. It is emphasized within the club that the deal has already been completed.

Lech brings Andreev to create extra competition for first goalkeeper Bartosz Mrozek. The Bulgarian closing post was the first goalkeeper on the scoresheet in the past three matches at Racing Santander.

In the summer of 2024, Feyenoord paid Levski Sofia an amount of approximately 1.2 million euros to acquire the now 21-year-old goalkeeper.

Lech Poznan has ended up with Ryan Fosso in their search for midfield reinforcement, as journalist Gianluca di Marzio previously reported. However, it is unclear whether Fortuna Sittard wants to let him go.
