Nando De Colo, rare light in Fener news

Obviously, this is a huge challenge for Fener who were eagerly counting on Silva’s talent to perform in the EuroLeague. The interior had just signed their first match in the league, and what a match: 17 points on 4/9 shots and 5 rebounds in just 20 minutes. But his injury is especially added to an already substantial list of players unavailable at the club.

Indeed, Scottie Wilbekin (right knee), Onuralp Bitim (right ankle), Arturs Zagars (right hamstring) and Jilson Bango (left knee) are already on the side. Recently, it was the former MVP of Basketball Champions League and Betclic ELITE (then Jeep ELITE) Bonzie Colson who joined the team. As if that wasn’t enough.

The news is not very encouraging for Fener fans, who were nevertheless able to get excited about the debut of the other January recruit Nando De Colo. After a successful medical examination, the northern leader competed and showed all his class during a first match back in the Istanbul jersey, in the Super Ligi on Sunday January 11.

With a record of 13 wins for 7 losses, Fenerbahçe is fifth in the EuroLeague standings, one victory behind leader Hapoel Tel Aviv but also half a victory from the Play-In zone. Nothing has yet been done for the Istanbulites, who will have to overcome the pitfalls strewn along their route this season.
