In the podcast, Ezra recalls his experiences while still defending Persib Bandung in 2021. He considers Persib to be the biggest club in Indonesia with a very large supporter base and a long history in national football.
“I play for Persib, the biggest club in Indonesia. ‘Indonesia’s Ajax’. They haven’t won the championship for 10 years. So it’s time for them to become champions again,” said Ezra, remembering the moments when he defended Persib, quoted from Ajax Amsterdam’s Instagram.

According to him, the love of fans in Indonesia is so great that players are stuck on the streets because of requests for photos, especially when Ezra won with Persib.
“You have to look at it like this, we covered five kilometers of road and it took me six hours to get from point A to point B. [Warga] the whole city ‘spilled out’, and I thought there must have been a lot of people on the streets,” Ezra said.
“It was also a very special moment in my football career; I thought, ‘Wow’. When you see the love and how happy the people are with a title, you think, ‘Wow, that’s the point’,” added Ezra.
