The cadet women’s team ends the championship with a defeat against La Rioja, in a match that became more complicated for them as the minutes passed. The first quarter kept the locals in the fight for victory, but the poor offensive success of the second period caused the visitors to escape on the scoreboard. After the break, the Extremadurans reacted with character, although the push was not enough to change the course of the match. The best of the game was Alejandra Alcón, with 17 points, 9 rebounds and a PIR of 15. The female cadet team finishes the championship in fourteenth position.

Hard defeat for the men’s cadet team that falls against the Basque Country in a match that gradually slipped away despite the initial effort. The Extremaduran team tried to stay in the game during the first half. However, after the restart came the greatest difficulties, with a third quarter that was difficult for the Extremadurans (9-26), the Basques opened an insurmountable gap. The visitors took advantage of their superiority to definitively seal the match. The best of the game was Bruno León with 14 points, 11 fouls received and 6 PIR.

The cadet team achieved a valuable victory against the Region of Murcia in a match of ups and downs where the great second quarter of the Extremadurans stood out especially. Despite being behind on the scoreboard during the first minutes, the Extremadurans hit the table in the second period, with a run of 13-23 that allowed them to turn the score around and reach the break ahead. The collective effort and great defense in key moments were decisive for them to win a well-deserved victory. The women’s children’s team falls to Navarra in a match marked by local dominance in the first half. The Extremaduran team was diminished in attack during the first quarters, in which Navarra was superior offensively. After passing through the locker room, Extremadura reacted and improved its collective game, managing to close the gap; however, the effort was not enough to reverse the disadvantage accumulated in the first moments. The best on the team was Candela Marina with 14 points, 10 rebounds and a PIR of 16.

The women’s children’s team beat Asturias in a duel marked by defensive solidity and effectiveness in key moments. The match began at a calm pace, where the Extremadurans controlled the game with an orderly defense and taking advantage of the Asturians’ mistakes. Asturias, although they fought with intensity, could not find their offensive rhythm against the Extremaduran defense that was solid and difficult to overcome. The victory was the result of a balanced team game, where defensive intensity made the difference. The best player of the game was Julia Pérez with 11 points, 6 rebounds and a PIR of 12. With this victory the children finish eleventh in the championship.

Cantabria 58-74 Extremadura The men’s youth team achieved an important victory against Cantabria in the match corresponding to the fight for positions from 13th to 16th. The game was very even during the first three quarters and, although Extremadura began to impose its rhythm, Cantabria reacted and maintained equality until the last quarter. But the Extremaduran team showed its best version in the fourth quarter, scoring 9-22 that broke the game. The best player was Gonzalo Méndez with 20 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists and a PIR of 23.

Extremadura 62-65 Asturias
The men’s children’s team lost against Asturias in a match that, despite the great reaction in the second half, was marked by a bad first quarter for the locals. The Asturians dominated from the beginning, taking the lead at the end of the first period. Despite improving in the second quarter and reducing the difference at half-time, the Extremadurans were unable to completely recover the lost ground. After the break, the match was more balanced but the final effort was not enough to overcome the Asturian advantage, which remained solid until the last second. The best player was Pedro León with 26 points, 15 rebounds, and a PIR of 34. In this way, the men’s children’s team finishes 14th in the Championship.
