Excelsior Rotterdam has rented Miliano Jonathans from FC Utrecht until the end of the season. The attacker immediately joins the group of head coach Ruben den Uil.
Jonathans is no stranger to the VriendenLoterij Eredivisie and is looking forward to his period with the Kralingers. With his technique, actions and scoring ability he must provide extra returns.
Technical director Niels van Duinen: “We are happy that Miliano is coming to Kralingen for six months. He has a good left leg and fits in great with our way of playing. He has the quality to create things and brings us something extra on the ball. We also increase the competition and improve the quality of our front line. We spoke with each other for the first time before Christmas and knew that we had to be patient. We have been in daily contact with Miliano and FC Utrecht in recent weeks to achieve this. It is nice that we can now complete this together with FC Utrecht.”
Miliano Jonathans himself is looking forward to his time at Excelsior: “I expect that I will increase my chances of playing time here and that I will also develop well. That is the most important thing for me. I am a winger with good technique, I have a good action and can also score a goal or put someone in front of the goal. I hope that the supporters will soon be able to cheer in the stands.”
The four-time international for Indonesia previously played in the Kitchen Champion Division for Vitesse, before switching to FC Utrecht. At Excelsior he has also found a number of former teammates with whom he has already been in contact. The attacker is looking forward to quickly making his mark on Woudestein.
