A super day is coming in which 18 games will be played simultaneously.
Those classified for the playoffs and the round of 16 of the UEFA Europa League, the second most important club tournament in Europe, will be defined this Thursday, in a day in which 18 games will be played simultaneously.
The only two teams that have already secured a place in the top eight of the general table and therefore a ticket to the round of 16 are Lyon from France and Aston Villa from England, where the Argentines Nicolás Tagliafico, Emiliano “Dibu” Martínez and Emiliano Buendía play a very important role.
Both teams, having had a very good campaign, added 18 of a possible 21 points, although the French lead as they have a better goal difference.
A little further down, with qualification to the round of 16 practically assured, are Freiburg from Germany, Midtjylland from Denmark and Sporting Braga from Portugal, with 17, 16 and 16 points respectively.
The other teams that for now would be qualifying for the round of 16 are Roma from Italy, Ferencvaros from Hungary and Betis from Spain, although they should not be neglected since they are closely followed by Porto from Portugal, Genk from Belgium, Red Star from Serbia, PAOK from Greece, Stuttgart from Germany, Celta de Vigo from Spain and Bologna from Italy.
On the other hand, Nottingham Forest from England, Viktoria Plzen from the Czech Republic, Fenerbahce from Turkey, Panathinaikos from Greece, Dinamo Zagreb from Croatia, Lille from France, Brann from Norway, Young Boys from Switzerland and Celtic from Scotland will begin the last date in the playoff qualifying zone, but with almost no chance of finishing in the top eight.
Finally, the teams that are out of everything but still have a chance of reaching the playoffs are Ludogorets from Bulgaria, Feyenoord from the Netherlands, Basel from Switzerland, Red Bull Salzburg from Austria, Steaua de Bucharest from Romania and Go Ahead from the Netherlands.
