Europa League 2026: Playoff & Round of 16 Qualified Teams

A super day is coming in which 18 games will be played simultaneously.

Those classified for the playoffs and the round of 16 of the UEFA Europa League, the second most important club tournament in Europe, will be defined this Thursday, in a day in which 18 games will be played simultaneously.

The only two teams that have already secured a place in the top eight of the general table and therefore a ticket to the round of 16 are Lyon from France and Aston Villa from England, where the Argentines Nicolás Tagliafico, Emiliano “Dibu” Martínez and Emiliano Buendía play a very important role.

Both teams, having had a very good campaign, added 18 of a possible 21 points, although the French lead as they have a better goal difference.

A little further down, with qualification to the round of 16 practically assured, are Freiburg from Germany, Midtjylland from Denmark and Sporting Braga from Portugal, with 17, 16 and 16 points respectively.
