According to Yeni Şafak’s report, some fans from Kocaelispor attempted to attack Trabzonspor Club President Ertuğrul Doğan. The vehicle in which Trabzonspor President Ertuğrul Doğan and Vice President Zeyyat Kafkas were in was attacked by fans from Kocaeli.

While chaos broke out after the brawl, security forces immediately arrived in the area. While some attackers were taken to the hospital by ambulance as a precaution after the incident, the riot police took extensive security measures.
