Yes it is the 39th edition of the Italian Para archey championships in Lamezia Terme concluded. The national Fitarco has once again relied on Asd Aida, a Calabrian archery club, for the organization of the event, which saw 70 Paralympic athletes on the shooting line.
«An announced success», underlines the president of the ASD Aida-archery section, Annalisa Insardà. «After the wonderful experience of 2021 at the Palapentimele in Reggio Calabria, this time we have outdone ourselves even further. A widespread organization with attention to the smallest details thanks to a well-tested, cohesive and reliable group. The ASD Aida team manager took care of it Michelangelo Minutoli to set in motion the organizational machine that brought us this weekend, just spent creating one of the most beautiful and exciting championships ever. Minutoli has, among other things, established relationships with the technicians, graphic designers and all the figures he decided to involve, including the over 60 volunteers who gave a fundamental contribution. It was exciting to have the elite of Italian Paraarchery, the athletes of the Italian national team and the most important Italian sports groups, starting with the home athlete Enza Petrilli under the Fiamme oro of the State Police and others Peppe Luciano Athletes Dell’asd Aida».
Enza Petrillhe finished with a spectacular second place, then a silver medal, in the overall and with a bronze medal in the class clashes. The support of the National Federation was not lacking – underline the promoters – who once identified the organizing company, gave the mandate to the manager of the central-south Italy macro-area Alessandro Albanese to support Aida in this further challenge. Albanese worked hand in hand with Minutoli and his staff, actively contributing to the organization of the event. Vittorio Polidori, at his first time as leader of the Federation after last year’s election, he declared that he was «very satisfied with the three days in Calabriafor the organisation, for the location identified by the ASD and for the hospitality received from the local institutions, first and foremost the municipal administration which decided to inaugurate the building at the end of a week focused on Paralympic sport, with the Italian Para archery championships”.
Also present was the president of Aida Odv, Reno Insardàwho promoted the ASD Aida: «I have been traveling around Italy for the Italian indoor paraarchery championships since 2013, but on this occasion I saw something exceptional. In addition to the perfectly successful event, in a beautiful location, a latest generation arena, with a “stadium” choreography that enriched the stands and the entire arena.
