Empress’s Cup: ELFIN Win 2024 Japan Women’s Wheelchair Basketball Championship

“Empress’s Cup 34th Japan Women’s Wheelchair Basketball Championship” held at Green Arena Kobe

The “Empress’s Cup 34th Japan Women’s Wheelchair Basketball Championship” to determine the best women’s club team in Japan was held over two days on January 17th (Saturday) and 18th (Sunday) at Green Arena Kobe (Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture).
Six teams from all over the country participated in the final match of “Wing vs ELFIN”, which was a match between Kanto teams. ELFIN (Kanto), which had advanced by defeating Cocktail (Kinki), who had won nine consecutive tournaments, showed high scoring ability and won 61-37, winning the tournament for the first time in 10 tournaments since 2013 and for the eighth time.
Additionally, various events were held during the tournament, including a wheelchair basketball experience session, and the “27th National Senior Invitational Wheelchair Basketball Tournament” was also held at the same venue.
