Another big match for Edimes Sanmaurense who will host Pallacanestro Milano today at 6pm at the PalaRavizza. Edimes started the second round in the best possible way, also beating league leaders Cermenate last week, and now coach Fossati’s band finds itself tied to third place in the standings (together with Cerro Maggiore at 24 points, with the latter ahead for the direct clash in favor) and above all -2 from the top, occupied by the aforementioned Cermenate and Varese Academy. As anticipated, the opponent of the day will be Pallacanestro Milano, fifth with 22 points and who in the first leg managed to overcome Maghet and his teammates in a match decided in the last possessions (77-74). Instead, Fluidotecnica Robbio will be on stage tomorrow, engaged within the friendly walls of the PalaCantone against Venegono, with a tap-off set for 6pm. Coach Gallina’s team, currently in twelfth place in the rankings (tied to ninth), fell in the last round in Seregno and now wants to raise its head again: facing them will be a Venegono team four points behind the Lomellini and who won on Wednesday evening against Rondinella in the recovery of the first day back. In the other matches this evening, the two leaders Cermenate and Varese Academy will be involved within friendly walls against Seregno (9pm) and Legnano (8.30pm) respectively, while Cerro Maggiore will face Opera at home (6.30pm) and Milano3 will face Lissone (6.30pm). The second Sunday postponement, however, Rondinella will try to find important points on the home parquet of Sesto San Giovanni, hosting Settimo Milanese (18).
