Galatasaray Sports Club President Dursun Aydın Özbek made a statement to the press after the Turkcell Super Cup match in which we beat Trabzonspor 4-1 and reached the final.

Today, we won the semi-final match played with the new format of the Super Cup in Gaziantep and made our way to the final. I can say this about the match: Both teams fought as football requires. I also congratulate Trabzonspor, they also put up a good fight on the field. As Galatasaray, we came here and deservedly advanced to the final.
I would especially like to thank the people of Antep and our brothers from Gaziantep. They always welcome us very nicely. Gaziantep is a city we love very much, we enjoy playing here. It was also nice that the match had a lot of goals and a lot of fun to watch.
Our goal now is to win the final. Our opponent in the final will be determined tomorrow.

As for the transfer issue… Everyone knows that Galatasaray’s transfer limit is determined depending on the high level of our income. We are ready for the transfer season. Our shortcomings are clear. There are football players determined by our coach and the technical team, our meetings with these names started long ago. We have time ahead of us, but we want to complete the transfers as soon as possible without depending on it.
When you look at the summer transfer period, we made five transfers and all five were on the field. This is an indicator of our success in transfer. During this period, we are working intensively with Mr. Abdullah in line with the demands of our teacher and the suggestions of the technical team. My brother Erden is a good Galatasaray supporter. We worked together with him for Galatasaray, he took part in my management. He also gave great support to Galatasaray in terms of jerseys and sponsorships. There are some minor problems in this process. Nobody can get anywhere by attacking Galatasaray. Compete with Galatasaray on the field, compete with what Galatasaray does.
Galatasaray is a big family. He is like a stickman with his fans, management, football players and general assembly members. No one can break this integrity. Everyone should know this.
“GALATASARAY DOES NOT SELECT AN OPPONENT”
Galatasaray does not choose an opponent. No matter who comes to the final, Galatasaray will be on the field to win the cup in the final.
Icardi is a very important football player who gave a lot to Galatasaray. He is a player of Galatasaray and the necessary decision in the upcoming period will be made when the time comes. I would love the final to be played in a city in Anatolia, just like the semi-finals were played in Gaziantep and Adana. We saw here; People are so happy to watch their teams closely. It is very important for Turkish football for clubs to go to Anatolia and integrate with the people there.
