Durán Transfer: Juventus & Wolfsburg Linked with Fenerbahce Star

Jhon Durán was the most expensive player in the 2025 winter transfer window: Al-Nassr FC paid Aston Villa 77 million euros for the 22-year-old Colombian and gave him a contract that runs until 2030. Less than six months later, the striker moved to Fenerbahce Istanbul on loan as coach José Mourinho’s desired transfer – the deal is said to have cost the Turkish runner-up around 20 million euros for one season, including salary and loan fee.

Mourinho was gone again after failing to qualify for the Champions League and Durán’s performances on and off the pitch had little to do with what was expected for such an expensive professional. He scored five goals in 21 games and, according to Turkish transfer reporter Yağız Sabuncuoğlu, is already on the verge of leaving. Accordingly, Juventus Turin is said to have made an official offer.

At Fenerbahce, the center forward was surprisingly missing from the squad for the Europa League game in Bucharest (1-1). Coach Domenico Tedesco said: “Durán was in pain after today’s training, that’s why he didn’t come here with the team.” At the time of his Saudi transfer, Durán had reached a market value of €40 million at Aston Villa, which has since fallen to €32 million.
