Information:
In 2026, DTA Fortius will organize the Wim de Vries Tournament for the first time, in memory of Wim de Vries, who passed away on August 24 at the age of 78. To continue to honor Wim, this tournament will be organized annually from 2026. The first edition will take place on 24 and 25 May 2026 (Pentecost weekend).
Layout & purpose
Teams are divided by class and, where possible, by strength. The tournament is intended for lower-level big league teams and middle-level Division teams.
Preliminary planning
Sunday May 24 Morning – O8 and O9
Sunday May 24 Afternoon – O10 and O11 (half field)
Monday May 25 Morning – O12 and O13 (whole field)
Monday May 25 Afternoon – O14 and O15
We aim for two groups per age group with subsequent cross-finals. Each match lasts 20 minutes with a 5 minute break between matches. (This may still change!)
A maximum of one team per association can be admitted per class.
