A spokesman for Deutsche Bank has confirmed to Efe the registration of the offices and said that they are fully cooperating with the Prosecutor’s Office. “We confirm that a measure by the Frankfurt Public Prosecutor’s Office is currently being implemented at the offices of Deutsche Bank,” according to the German bank’s spokesman.

The actions of the Deutsche Bank fall during the day 3% -up to 32.48 euros – at the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, after the news of the research of the Prosecutor’s Office and the Federal Criminal Research Office (Bundeskriminalamt).

The investigation focuses on Deutsche Bank’s former business dealings with foreign companies suspected of being set up to launder money and owned by Russian oligarch Roman Abramovich, according to The mirror. Abramovich is, from the spring of 2022, on the sanctions list of the European Union (EU).

Around 30 plainclothes police searched the offices of Deutsche Bank’s headquarters after 10am, according to the weekly.
