The former Seraing goalkeeper now has a compatriot as a new competitor. Dender has indeed announced the arrival of Gauthier Gallona 32-year-old French goalkeeper, active at Stade Rennais.
Looking for play time
The Niçois was on the sidelines in Brittany: he did not appear on the slightest match sheet this season. During the previous year, he oscillated between the status of second and third goalkeeper, playing half-time in the league.
Don’t be fooled by this rather mediocre assessment: Gallon has some experience in France. Before that, he spent two full seasons in Ligue 1 with Troyes, he also had nearly 150 Ligue 2 matches with Nîmes and Orléans.
Looking for reinforcements in its fight to maintain, Dender did not hesitate to relaunch her, thus offering her her first adventure abroad. Gauthier Gallon signed a contract there until June 2027.
