Among sports teams around the world, the team with the highest season operating profit was found to be the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League (NFL).

According to the ranking of operating profits of sports teams around the world published by Forbes, an American economic magazine, on the 10th (Korean time), NFL Dallas ranked first with $629 million (about 918.27 billion won). This profitability ranking is based on the most recent season’s operating profit before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization for teams in major sports leagues around the world.

Dallas ranked first for the 10th consecutive year in the global sports team valuation ($13 billion) announced by the same media outlet last December.

Second place is the National Basketball Association (NBA) Golden State Warriors with $409 million.

NBA Golden State was second in sports team valuation last December, with $11 billion, following NFL Dallas.

Tied for third place were the NFL Los Angeles (LA) Rams and the North American Ice Hockey League (NHL) Edmonton Oilers, both of whom made a profit of $244 million.

Mercedes of Formula One (F1), a car racing team, ranked 5th with $227 million, and the NFL’s New England Patriots ranked 6th with $222 million.

Two NBA teams, tied for 7th place, the Atlanta Hawks and the Philadelphia 76ers, both posted an operating profit of $203 million.

The top European soccer team in operating profit was English professional soccer team Manchester United ($185 million), which ranked 11th. Son Heung-min’s former team, Tottenham Hotspur, ranked 12th with $184 million.

Additionally, in the Major League Baseball (MLB), not a single team was ranked in the top 20.
