Dakar Rally: Carnet Wins Stage 1 2024

After his victory in the prologue, Edgar Carnet also managed to win the first stage of the Dakar Rally. At the finish he had a lead of just over a minute over Daniel Sanders. Ricky Brabec was also close behind at a minute and a half. Tosha Schareina and Luciano Benavides finished the day in fourth and fifth.

Dutchman Ian Olthof finished the first stage in 44th.

Carnet is in the lead ahead of Sanders and Brabec in the rankings. Ian Olthof is in 45th place.
