When Dell Curry, father of Stephen and Seth Curry, retired, he was the team’s all-time player who played the most games, scored the most points, made the most shots on target, and made the most three-pointers.
Charlotte Hornets announced today that the club’s legendary player Dell Curry’s number 30 jersey will be retired at a special ceremony to be held during the match against the Orlando Magic at the Spectrum Center on March 19.
IT WILL BE THE FIRST IN HORNETS
Curry, who has served as a player, commentator and ambassador for the Hornets for more than 25 years, will be the second player in the club’s history to have his jersey retired. This honor highlights his lasting impact on the club, the Charlotte community and the game of basketball.
The Hornets’ only other retired jersey belongs to Bobby Phills (number 13) and was retired on February 9, 2000.
