Cruzeiro Copinha: Semifinal Spot Secured After Big Win

Sovereign from beginning to end, the Cruise They easily beat Guanabara City 3-0, this Sunday (18/1), at the Estádio Professor Luiz Augusto de Oliveira, in São Carlos. With the result, Crias da Toca secured their place in the semi-finals of the Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior.

The scoring was opened in the 18th minute of the first half by defender Kaiquy Luiz. After a corner kick, the defender rose above the mark and filled the net: 1 a 0.

In the second half, Raposa kept the pace. In the 9th minute, midfielder Rhuan Gabriel hit a shot from outside the area, with no chance for the opposing goalkeeper: 2 a 0.

The final blow came in the 26th minute, when striker Fernando showed the coolness of a scorer: he received a free kick inside the area, carried the ball and finished with quality to close the score: 3 a 0.

Although they dominated the game, the celestial team could have been even more incisive to extend the rout.

Guanabara City, limited by technical inferiority, spent most of the time retreating and did little to bother the Minas Gerais defense.
