One month after the tragedy that occurred on the night of December 31 to January 1, 2026, the Crans-Montana area is hosting a round of the Alpine Ski World Cup. From January 30 to February 1, the Swiss resort will host three speed stages.
The skiers compete in a downhill on Friday and a super-G on Saturday. The men will start downhill on Sunday, for the last race before the Olympic Games in Milan-Cortina.
In this particular context, following the death of 40 people in the fire at the Constellation bar, the organizing committee reviewed its program and opted for sobriety by canceling all events ancillary to the competition.
The Crans-Montana World Cup round will be followed live on Eurosport 2. The women’s downhill will begin at 9:45 a.m. on Friday 30 and the Super-G at 10:45 a.m. Saturday 31 January. The men’s downhill will take place at 11 a.m. Sunday February 1st.
