Meet Thiago and Manuela, two enthusiasts from Switzerland who decided to see the world with their own eyes. Despite a thousand reasons why not, they were looking for ways to say yes. And they also found…
Originally, they thought of traveling in a small Volkswagen California-type dwelling, but as time went on, their vision grew, and so did the car. And that ended up being a Scania 500R 6×6 XT with a Bliss superstructure, which the adventurers named Big Shrek. You’ll probably think of a green ogre with tentacles like aliens have…

Big Shrek is a large and self-sufficient residence with a 6×6 drive.
The choice of Scania was not only made because of the car itself, the dealers in Seuzach, Switzerland, who passionately supported this project and actively cooperated with the Bliss tuner, also played an important role.
The custom expedition special has four-wheel drive, 500 horsepower, a reinforced steel bumper, increased ground clearance, off-road tires, optimized cooling, modifications necessary for the bodywork and customized wiring.
The residential superstructure relies on a solar system with an accumulator, tanks for clean and gray water, an insulated aluminum sandwich structure, complete residential equipment is not missing, including a kitchen, shower, toilet and sleeping area.

The roof is dotted with solar panels that feed the on-board battery.
The car is directly intended for traveling long distances and living outside civilization. It also allows adventurers to create content for social networks.
The two are already on their way, having started in Halifax, Canada, heading to Bolivia along the Pan American Highway, before heading to Brazil, Thiago’s native country. From there, they intend to travel to the northeast of the country and continue through the state of Guyana.

So their two-year journey is underway, they say they have no shortage of experiences. The couple has already met a grizzly bear, driven through Death Valley, seen untamed nature…
