The 300 Miles A 3-Grefusa Trophy is organized by the Moraira Yacht Club and is part of the II Interclub Circuit of high-altitude regattas, along with the Vilanova and Palma events. The event brings together a fleet of the highest level, with the presence … of the two current champions: Aquarelle 1 – Varadero Valencia (RCN de Valencia), skippered by Arturo Meseguer, defending champion in Group A, and Guaguanco IV (CN Altea) of Thierry Lallemand.
Among those registered, the Falapuco stands out, a Dufour 40 by Andrés Manresa (RCN de Torrevieja), winner of the 2024 Copa del Rey in the absolute category. The Real Club Náutico de Valencia once again plays a leading role by being the club with the greatest representation, with six boats, including the new Hybrid, a First 30 by Vicente Iranzo, which has in its crew a history of the event such as Kiko Moret, or the powerful Zas Sailing, a Swan 45 by the Francés Armengot brothers.
The list of favorites is completed in Group A with boats such as the Blue Carbon, a TP52 from Toni Guiu’s RCN de Barcelona; Spaniard (RCR Alicante) by Fidel García; Modul (NSP–RCN Palma) led by Félix Comas; the Murcian Ebury Sailing Team (CN Portman) of Javier Sabiote; or Hydra (CN El Balís) by Óscar Chaves. Along with them, boats such as Cometa A Dos, Smerit or the emblematic Alzira Moraira, skippered by Agustín Gregori, complete a highly competitive fleet.
The regatta will have night sections and changing conditions that will require maximum concentration. The organization maintains constant monitoring of meteorological developments and has stressed that safety will be a priority throughout the event.
For this reason, the organizing committee and the regatta committee will not confirm the final route until the skippers’ meeting on Thursday morning, just three hours before the start of a regatta that will once again turn Moraira into the epicenter of offshore sailing in the Mediterranean winter.
