Athletes and officials were honored at the Allershausen New Year’s reception. Because 2025 was canceled, there were double awards for special achievements.

Allershausen – “Last year the New Year’s reception was canceled, but the volunteer work was not.” Allershausen’s mayor Martin Vaas therefore had his hands full at the community reception in the Protestant parish hall in Oberallershausen. Sports teams, individual athletes and deserving officials were honored.

Baseball players were among the top Bavarians

Mayor Martin Vaas said that when people think of heroes, they think of beings with superpowers “or perfectly styled people who always know which camera to look at.” Allershausen is about normal people in tracksuits with whistles or stopwatches. “We honor everyday heroes,” said the mayor. And the mayor, who was once a good soccer goalkeeper, confirmed to the honorees that “sporting successes are no coincidence.”

Martin Vaas emphasized the value of community, clubs and a society that thrives on voluntary commitment. “The community is not the town hall,” he emphasized. The head of the town hall told the honorees that the various honors should be viewed as appreciation for sporting achievements or voluntary commitment.

This time the honor was lavish because the New Year’s reception in 2025 was canceled. That is why the awards for the years 2024 and 2025 have now been awarded. In the case of the TSV Allershausen bowling team, this was particularly practical. They were promoted to the District League A in 2024 and a year later to the District League Isar. That’s why the athletes received bronze and silver badges at the same time. For the promotion of the tennis ladies 40 to the state league 1, the community received the silver badge.

The baseball players from TSV Allershausen won gold twice. In 2024 they became German indoor runner-up in baseball and runner-up in baseball BBQ, Bavarian indoor champion and German indoor champion. The representatives of the baseball teams received gold badges twice.

The Diana Allershausen shooting club was well represented among individual athletes. Peggy Walter (silver), Georg Hopfenmüller (bronze and silver) and Reimund Seibert (bronze) were honored. There was also Hendryk Rusin (silver) from the TSV Allershausen track and field athletes.

Long-time officials honored

Sepp Lerchl from Leonhardsbuch was at the top of the official honors. For his commitment as a volunteer judge in the labor court and the state labor court, he received a certificate of thanks from the Free State of Bavaria on the occasion of the completion of this activity. Emma Bacher, Werner Batoja, Markus Neumayer and Maria Westermeier received the gold award for 25 years of work on the folk festival committee. Anita Groszek was also honored with gold for 25 years as a board member of the Neighborhood Aid. Stefanie Völker (Silver) has been volunteering at the library for 20 years. Mona Raith was awarded bronze for twelve years as secretary of TSV Alpin.

The reception in the Protestant parish hall in Oberallershausen was musically accompanied by the parish’s trombone choir. This ensemble provided a festive setting for the community event between the various honor blocks.
