Cole Palmer: Chelsea Exit & Man United Transfer Rumours

British press sources reveal that Cole Palmer is feeling disillusioned with life in London, more than two years after moving from Manchester City.

The Manchester native himself would be delighted to receive transfer interest from Manchester United, the team Cole Palmer has admired since childhood.

The England international would not want to return to Manchester City, where Pep Guardiola still manages the team.

In the summer of 2023, Manchester City sold Palmer to Chelsea for £42.5 million. Last season, he extended his contract at Stamford Bridge until 2033.

However, Cole Palmer greatly misses his hometown of Wythenshawe and often returns there to visit family and friends.

This season, the 23-year-old midfielder has only started 11 games due to a persistent groin injury. Recently, Palmer was not called up for the match against Crystal Palace.

Manchester United’s current director of football, Jason Wilcox, was previously Manchester City’s academy director when Palmer rose to prominence.

He, along with chief executive Omar Berrada, will continue to oversee the Red Devils’ signing process this summer. Cole Palmer will be on the target list if he decides to leave Chelsea.

The England star is the ideal replacement for captain Bruno Fernandes, who has hinted he could leave Old Trafford after the 2026 World Cup.
