Coahuila Archers Ranked Top in Americas – 2025

Sebastián García and Ángela Ruiz from Coahuila received recognition from World Archery Americas by being included among the best exponents of archery in the American Continent during 2025, according to the annual evaluation of the continental organization.

García was designated as the best compound archer in the Major categorywhile Ruiz obtained the distinction as the best recurve archer in the Under-21 category. Both are part of the group of 23 athletes awarded in this edition.

In the balance of international competitions, Sebastián García added a gold medal in the Panamerican Indoor Championship held in San Luis Potosí and a silver medal in the World Cup held in Central Florida, United States. In team events, he won bronze in the Merengue Cup in the Dominican Republic and silver in the World Cup held in Shanghai, China.

The most outstanding results of the Coahuila goalkeeper were recorded in the mixed team modality, where he teamed up with Andrea Becerra. Together they won a bronze medal in the Gwangju World ChampionshipSouth Korea, as well as silver at the World Games in Chengdu, China.

For her part, Ángela Ruiz Rosales won the individual silver medal in the U-21 category of the Youth World Championship held in Winnipeg, Canada. In team competitions, he won the gold medal at the Youth Pan American Games in Asunción, Paraguay.

On the balance sheet, Mexico concentrated eight recognitions in the delivery of the best of 2025 from World Archery Americas, where World Archery México was also distinguished as the best National Federation of the year.
