EuroLeague is ready to wage war on the NBA. According to Eurohoops, ECA has informed the US League that action may be taken actions legal should discussions take place on the NBA Europe project with the clubs that have already committed to the EuroLeague with a ten-year license. “A letter was sent to the NBA by the EuroLeague last week, and all clubs that currently hold an A license were notified. This move demonstrates once again that the EuroLeague and the NBA are stuck on a collision course unless something dramatic happens in the coming months.” Tomorrow there will be a new EuroLeague meeting, with the clubs pushing Real Madrid, Barcelona, Fenerbahce and ASVEL towards a decision, as they are the only remaining shareholders who have not yet signed the new licenses. The deadline decided by EuroLeague shareholders to allow these companies to join in the long-term project expires on Friday. There is optimism in the rest of the EuroLeague that Barcelona e Fenerbahce they will align themselves with the other shareholders quickly. The Real Madrid remains an enigma, while the days dell’ASVEL in the EuroLeague they seem to be counted out.
