Club Brugge Signs Goalkeeper | Done Deal – Football News

Club Brugge has added a new goalkeeper coach to its selection. He comes over from the Belgian Football Association on January 1 and can immediately go on a winter internship to Marbella. That news was announced by Club Brugge.

“Bram Castro joins Ivan Leko’s staff as goalkeeper coach. Castro (43) comes from the KBVB where he worked as goalkeeper coach of the U21 and Goalkeeper Coordinator,” said Club Brugge.

They stated this in a statement on their website. “Castro starts on January 1 and will immediately leave for an internship to Marbella on Saturday,” they immediately worked on it. And this despite the fact that Castro had only been active with the Belgian Football Association for a few months.

During his active career, Bram Castro was the goalie at Genk and KV Mechelen and ended his career at KV Oostende. In between he also played for Roda JC, STVV and Heracles Almelo, among others.

From the Belgian Football Association to Club Brugge

He then moved to RSC Anderlecht in the summer of 2023 as a goalkeeper coach for the U15, U16 and U18, and last summer he was added to the core of Gill Swerts’ U21 team at the Belgian Football Association.

Now he immediately has to find a new job, because he will be working in Ivan Leko’s staff. He must take the goalkeepers to a higher level in the coming months with a view to a possible title.
