Club Brugge & Garcia: Deal Done, Medical Imminent

Club Brugge is about to acquire a second winter signing. Not Andreas Schjelderup or Sadibou Sané, but Andre Garcia is on his way to the people of Bruges.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Club Brugge has reached an agreement with Reading regarding the transfer of the 18-year-old defender. Garcia is now on his way for his medical tests, indicating that the deal is almost complete. Blauw-Zwart thus strikes at the English club from League One.

Garcia trained at Reading and was still under contract until the summer of 2026. The young Englishman is extremely versatile and can take care of the entire left flank. This season he was deployed as a left back, left center and even as a left winger.

The talent has already played 56 times for Reading’s first team. He was good for two goals and three assists. His market value is estimated by Transfermarkt at 550,000 euros, but due to his expiring contract, Club Brugge does not seem to have to dig too deep into their pockets.

In episode 26 of the second season of Tijd voor Voetbal, the many supporters’ protests in the JPL are discussed, the possible dismissal of Besnik Hasi from RSC Anderlecht and the goal festival in Club Brugge – Zulte Waregem. That and much more in Time for Football.
