Norwegian skier Henrik Kristoffersen won the Schladming slalom on Wednesday evening, the last before the Olympic Games in Milan Cortina (February 6-22).
Kristoffersen won his first victory of the season, ahead of his compatriot Atle Lie McGrath (+34/100th) and Frenchman Clément Noël (+54/100th), the reigning Olympic champion, who scored his fourth podium of the winter.

Very frustrated after Tuesday’s giant where he was never in the game (18th), Kristoffersen took his revenge by finally winning this winter, he who had accumulated podiums (6 with Wednesday) since November without ever winning.
“After all the hardships I have been through recently, I am very emotional today. I don’t usually cry a lot, never out of sadness, but now I’m crying out of joy.”smiled the Norwegian at the microphone of the International Federation.
“Five times, Schladming! This is home.”he added, while this is his fifth victory on the Planai track (2014, 2016, 2017, 2020, 2025). He signs his 34th World Cup success and his 101st podium.
Behind him, Clément Noël took a good 3rd place. Only eighth in the first round, he was the best in the second round, despite a mistake at the start of the race, to finally snatch the podium.
In the specialty ranking, Atle Lie McGrath takes the red bib with 452 points. He is a small point ahead of the Brazilian Lucas Pinheiro Braathen, while Noël is 3rd with only 17 points behind.
