Cirino Out: Amazonas vs Nacional-AM Forward Misses Match

Marcelo Cirino will not make his Amazonas debut, the forward remains unavailable for the Nacional-AM meeting on Saturday in the Campeonato Amazonense 2026 second round.

According to Globo.com, he completed pre-season with the squad in December at Retrô’s training centre in Recife and continues to train with the group.

He is waiting on his International Transfer Certificate, the FIFA document required for players returning from abroad. Amazonas requested it from the Indonesian football federation about a week ago and are awaiting completion of the process.

Cirino played for PSS Sleman in Indonesia in 2024 and 2025.

The club expect the clearance from Monday. If everything proceeds as planned, he could be registered and available to debut in the GaviOnça derby against Manaus next Saturday at 17:00 at Estádio Carlos Zamith, in the third round.

Amazonas lead Group A with three points after a 3-0 opening win over São Raimundo. Kick-off is at 15:30 at Estádio da Colina in Manaus.

The fixture is a repeat of last season’s state final, which Amazonas won.
