Chelsea has just lost 3-2 at Stamford Bridge in the first leg semi-final of the EFL Cup against Arsenal and will seek to change its face this Saturday by facing Brentford, a team that lost several figures but is still a tough nut to crack.
Chelsea’s possible lineup
BY: Robert Sanchez – It seems unlikely that the new manager will make a change of position immediately, as Sánchez is destined to remain Chelsea’s number one.
LD: Bad Taste – He will occupy the right back, providing depth and support in the construction of the game.
DFC: Trevoh Chalobah – The experience behind. Given the loss of Colwill, Chalobah assumes defensive leadership to stop Igor Thiago.
DFC: Wesley Fofana – Power and recovery. He needs to show his best version to correct the spaces that the team may leave in transition.
LI: Marc Cucurella – It comes from playing against Arsenal at a high level. His aggressiveness will be vital to try to dry up Brentford’s attackers on the counterattacks.
MC: Moisés Caicedo – The tireless Ecuadorian, an all-rounder in the midfield with great recovery and distribution capacity.
MC: Enzo Fernandez – The engine of the team. With the return of Caicedo, he has less responsibility in getting the ball out and controlling the pace, so he will be able to give free rein to his creative side.
ED: Estêvão Willian – The Brazilian jewel (‘Messinho’). His cheekiness and dribbling are Chelsea’s hope of breaking down tight defences.
MCO: Pedro Neto – Speed to space. His ability to attack the backs of the full-backs will be essential for counterattacks.
EI: Alejandro Garnacho – The Argentine will look to do damage with his speed and diagonals from the left, taking advantage of the spaces that the local defense may leave. He comes from scoring a double in the game against Arsenal.

DC: João Pedro – The Brazilian who arrived from Brighton will be the reference in the area, alternating with Marc Guiu due to the prolonged absence of Liam Delap.
This is what Brentford’s lineup would look like (4-2-3-1)

Goalie: Kevin Kelleher
Defenses: Michael Kayode, Kristoffer Ajer, Nathan Collins, Rico Henry
Midfielders: Yehor Yarmoliuk, Vitaly Janelt
Offensive Means: Mathias Jensen, Keane Lewis-Potter, Kevin Schade
Front: Igor Thiago.
